A HOMELESS project has renewed its appeal for Knutsford residents to donate gifts for those less fortunate over Christmas.

The Mustard Tree is collecting new hats, gloves, socks as practical gifts for those without a roof over their head.

A spokesman said: “We really hope that people remember how very blessed they are to have a home, warmth and food and that they can find it in their hearts to purchase a small gift for a homeless person over the coming week.

“We are also collecting tinned goods which will be taken to the Mustard tree as they have a cafe which provides food for homeless people throughout the year.”

There are collection boxes currently in Hal whittakers in Princess Street, at the market cafe, The Welcome cafe in Longridge, 28 Southfields, The Oaks in Mobberley Road, St Vincent’s Church and school and J.H.Oakes and Sons in Parkgate.
