TO help spread some festive cheer over the Christmas period, Knutsford-based Boxed Red Marketing has chosen to support a north west charity by donating boxes full of festive gifts at a special party.

Contact the Elderly is the only national charity solely dedicated to tackling acute loneliness and social isolation among older people, and Boxed Red Marketing has decided to get involved in a festive party on Sunday at 2.30pm.

The event has been organised to provide a lifeline of companionship and conversation to older people who live alone, replacing their social isolation with new acquaintances and friendship.

Janna Caley, managing director at Boxed Red Marketing, said: “We are all looking forward to Christmas, and we wanted to give something back to the community this year.

“After hearing about Contact the Elderly and the amazing work they do in the community we wanted to get involved and help people who may be feeling lonely and isolated at a time of year where families traditionally get together.”

Boxed Red Marketing has taken inspiration from its own brand identity, and has prepared 30, bright red boxes and filled them with festive gifts for the elderly people who will be coming along to this weekend’s party in Stockport.

Volunteers from the Boxed Red Marketing team will be in attendance to help Father Christmas distribute the gifts on Sunday.
