Rugby club’s food bank plea

KNUTSFORD Rugby Club is urging the town to support its food bank this weekend while enjoying the club’s festive afternoon at the same time.

The club is inviting residents to the sports club on Mereheath Lane on Sunday for an afternoon of fun, and is inviting them to bring a donation for the Trussell Trust food bank.

The trust’s food banks provide a minimum of three days emergency food and support to people experiencing crisis in the UK.

Junior training will take place in the morning as usual, but the events, including a British Bulldog challenge, will begin at midday, with mince pies and mulled wine on offer.
