THE northbound carriageway of the M6 between junctions 18 and 19 has reopened after a serious crash.
Just after 9am today, Thursday, emergency services and air ambulance were called to the scene of a four vehicle collision.
A Honda Civic was in collision with a HGV at the junction of the Knutsford services slip road.
A mini bus was then in collision with another HGV. Only the driver was in the mini bus and initially there were concerns for his welfare but he did not suffer any serious injuries.
The female driver of the Honda received minor injuries. The male driver of one of the HGVs was trapped and freed by firefighters.
He was taken by air ambulance to a hospital in Stoke.
Anyone with information should contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 203 of November 29.
