Ronnie Wood’s Big Bang Blue
ROLLING Stones fans are in for a treat with an exclusive art event at a Knutsford gallery.
Gallery Three in Regent Street is celebrating 50 years of the band and their long-awaited return to the stage at London’s O2 Arena by showcasing artwork by guitarist Ronnie Wood.
A spokesman for the gallery said: “For Ronnie Wood art and music are his two great loves and if not a musician then he certainly would have been a full time artist.
“Although a member of ‘the world’s most famous rock band’ he still manages to split his time 50/50 between these two departments in his life.
“As a privileged insider, Ronnie Wood documents the performers that he has known and worked with from a very unique perspective.”
Before beginning his musical career, Ronnie received formal art training at Ealing College of Art, London. It proved to be breeding ground for rock icons as Freddie Mercury of Queen and Pete Townshend of The Who were also among those who attended.
Ronnie’s collection of signed limited editions will be unveiled on Thursday, November 29, at a champagne reception and will be available until December 4.
