KNUTSFORD in Bloom’s next project is the National Dig Together Day on Sunday, November 25.

Everyone is invited to the RHS event to encourage as many people as possible to plant trees and plants for the town’s future enjoyment.

Yvonne said: “We will be planting cherry blossom trees and daffodil bulbs to transform the long-neglected strip running along the pedestrian path of the station main entrance car park.

“We are hoping that the overgrown evergreen shrubs will have been cut back or removed where necessary in preparation for our big dig.

“It will be lovely to see the daffodils and blossom in the spring. The cherry tree leaves will then turn a beautiful burgundy, turning fiery red in the autumn for their big finale at the end of the year.”

Volunteers will be meeting in the Knutsford train station main entrance car park at 10.30am.

Those taking part are advised to bring gloves and something to dig with.
