YOUNGSTERS will be shadowing some of Cheshire East Council’s top bosses on Friday, November 23.
The authority is throwing opening its doors to young people as part of the Children’s Commissioner Dr Maggie Atkinson’s ‘Takeover Day’.
The idea is for the next generation to see what is involved in the day-to-day running of a borough council.
It is hoped that this will help break down barriers between generations, encourage young people to become more active in their community and give councillors a fresh perspective.
The scheme is open to anyone aged 13 to 19.
Young people wanting to get involved can pick up a form from their career adviser or email kay.banks@ cheshireeast. gov.uk
