A GROUP which unites professionals from all walks of life is celebrating its six month anniversary with its first open day.
BNI Mere, part of a global group called Business Networking International, is made up of individuals from different professions.
The 21 current members meet at the Swan Hotel in Bucklow Hill and work together to generate business for each other.
Group director John McKenzie said: “Businesses don’t have to be local to the area to join - we currently have members from Macclesfield and Warrington, as well as several people from Knutsford and the surrounding area.
“We’ve currently got a great group of people representing a diverse range of professions and we also run a range of business training and social events.
"Times are tough for many smaller businesses, so the group is a great source of advice and support.
“There's a membership fee to join but so far we’ve generated new business worth £378,000 for our members.
BNI Mere currently has vacancies for a mortgage advisor, an architect, and a landscape gardener, but would welcome other professions as well, as long as they are not currently represented.
The group’s first visitors’ day is on Thursday, November 15, at The Swan Hotel, Bucklow Hill, between 11.45am to 2pm and costs £12.50 including lunch.
