LATEST: Two men sent to hospital after Three Greyhounds pub blaze

TWO men have been taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation after a fire at the Three Greyhounds in Allostock.

A blaze broke out in the laundry room of a barn conversion at the back of the Holmes Chapel Road pub at around 12.25pm.

Crews from Holmes Chapel, Northwich and Winsford tackled the fire.

A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "The roof space and first floor of the property is heavily smoke logged and the laundry room well alight."

Thermal imaging cameras and cutting gear are also being used to cut away the roof to ensure there are no further 'hot spots' of fire.

"An ambulance was requested for two males suspected to be suffering from smoke inhalation," the spokesman added.

"Damping down is still in progress and a fire investigation will be carried out to establish the cause of the blaze."
