A POST office in the centre of Knutsford will closed for two weeks while a supermarket is renovated.
Co-op announced this week that it was refurbishing the store on Princess Street, which is also home to the town centre's only Post Office.
But the Post Office confirmed to the Guardian today, Thursday, that residents would have to travel to the office at Shaw Heath on Mobberley Road, or Mobberley itself, while the store was being renovated.
A spokesperson for the Post Office said: "Post Office Ltd would like to apologise to customers for the temporary closure of our Post Office branch in the Co-Op at Knutsford, 7 Princess Street, Knutsford and for any inconvenience this may cause.
"The branch closed for refurbishment on Wednesday, October 24 at 5.30pm.
"The branch is scheduled to reopen at the current location on Thursday, November 8.
"In the meantime, customers can use any Post Office to access services with Shaw Heath Post Office or Mobberley Post Office being the closest."
