Mere in line for five awards

A LEISURE resort in Mere has been shortlisted for five industry awards despite only being open since March.
The Mere Golf Resort and Spa has been nominated for five awards, and picked up its first success at Altrincham and Sale Chamber of Commerce Business Awards, winning the Leisure and Tourism Award.
The resort has been selected as finalists for Hotel of the Year by Cheshire Life Food and Drink Awards; Hotel Technology of the Year by European Hospitality Awards and two awards from Marketing Cheshire 2012 Annual Awards – Team of the Year and Marketing Initiative of the Year.
Resort owner Mark Boler said resort said: “It’s been an incredible few months since we relaunched the resort in March, and being short-listed for these awards locally and nationally is a testament to the passion and commitment to service by every member of staff.”
