Shedding light on tender process

FREE workshops are taking place to demystify the tender process for businesses.

Cheshire East Council is offering a helping hand for firms which want to tender for public service contracts.

A spokesman said: “Even with budget cuts the public sector spends a huge amount each year, and is always looking for new suppliers.”

Workshops aimed at new and existing businesses as well as charities and social enterprises will be held on November 14, 19 and 28 at Riverside, Congleton.

They will be conducted by Melanie Bryan, from WhyNotChange, which won the best social enterprise partnership award in the Prime Minister’s Big Society Awards 2011.

To date more than 200 small and medium-sized businesses, charities and social enterprises have benefited from Cheshire East Council’s tendering workshops.
