Vinnie looks to help others

A THAI boxing instructor, who has trained five world champions, has been teaching the benefits of therapy all over the country.

Vinnie Shoreman, who teaches martial arts at Egerton Youth Club in Knutsford, attended a talk on the benefits of sports therapy and it changed his life.

He said: “I was so mesmorised by what he did. The effects were so great that I wanted to learn how to do it myself.”

Vinnie, who has been Thai boxing for 22 years, swiftly gained qualifications in hypnotherapy, Timeline therapy and neuro-linguistic programming and recently embarked on a tour to teach the skills to others.

He added: “It’s changed my life. I made the decision that’s what I wanted to do and it gives me a great buzz to help people achieve what they think is the unachievable.”

Vinnie is also a mixed martial arts commentator and got into the job by chance. He was in Carlisle when a commentator was not available for an event and he was asked to step forward.

Since then, he has commentated on martial arts DVDs, the show Ring Warrior, the Dutch programme Show Time and the online channel Shout Fight.
