I FULLY agree with the comments about the atrocious train service between Knutsford and Manchester.

I regularly need to travel between Knutsford and Stockport as part of my commute to London.

The service is totally unreliable.

I too have been left waiting on cold stations at Knutsford and Stockport.

The trains are outdated and do not run frequently enough.

It has become so bad that I have started to travel to and from Macclesfield station by taxi as an alternative.

No doubt soon the operators will reduce the number of trains due to fewer travellers.

I have complained to the operators and I am in the process of writing to the body that grants them their franchise.

It astounds me in this day and age and given the continuing success of Manchester and the growing economy that we have to put up with such a hopeless rail service. The operators do not seem to care either.

I would urge everyone who is similarly dissatisfied to complain too.

Judging by the constant complaining I heard on a regular basis on the trains and platforms, there are plenty of disgruntled travellers.

If you all continue to just put up with it, then you get everything you deserve.

Northern Rail seem to only take notice of rail user groups and MPs. Even then they may just say 'we can't implement your suggestion.'

If you use this service then complain....please!! I've complained frequently to Northern and GMPTE but get fobbed off with a standard reply. If more people complain they may take notice!!!
