Will Smith has revealed he will be hitting the road with his long-time music mate DJ Jazzy Jeff in 2016.

The Summertime collaborators are set to embark on their first world tour together, which comes nearly 30 years after DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince released their debut album Rock The House in 1987, and the Independence Day star admitted he is “terrified” over the prospect.

“I’m pretty certain I’m going on tour,” Will told Apple’s Beats 1 presenter Zane Lowe.

“Jeff and I actually never have done a full tour. I was always on the Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air, I was always either making a movie, so we’ve never actually done a full tour. So I’m looking for this summer to be the first time that we go out on a full world tour.”

The pair reunited on Graham Norton’s talk show in 2013 to perform a rap medley.

Will is making a return to music after a decade away, having dropped a remix of Bomba Estereo’s Fiesta on October 2.

He revealed how he spends almost every day in the recording studio and has already recorded around 30 songs, and of those, he said: “I have six or seven that I really like.”

The 47-year-old singer-actor added: “Fear is the killer of creativity… I’m really good, I’m really inspired. I have so many things I want to say, and I’m struggling to say them in a way that fits the flavour of music I tend to like.”
