Britain’s Got Talent’s Old Men Grooving have issued an open invitation to Simon Cowell to join their group.

The dance troupe are through to the final of the ITV talent contest after impressing the judges and the nation with their moves, and they’d like the 55-year-old judge to do some dad dancing with them.

Choreographer David Welch said: “We’d like him, we’ve asked him twice now. He’s thinking about it. It’s an open invitation.

“Somewhere along the line I think we could get him to do something with him joining us for a bit. Ant and Dec have already done something with us…”

Old Men Grooving, David, Patrick, Fred, Phil and Brett, are promising an even more spectacular routine for the final on Sunday night.

David revealed: “I held some stuff back for the guys for the final in case we made it. We took a bit of a risk, because we wanted to go to another level, we’ve got some great stuff lined up, some funny stuff. I’m confident everybody is going to be smiling by the end of it.”

The group’s ages range from 40 to 60, but they insist they don’t have to do a lot of limbering up before they go on stage.

Fred Folkes, 43, said: “Before we went on we were in our dressing room and we were just listening to really nice music, it just made us feel happy.”
