The judges have scoured high and low searching for the creme de la creme of the nation and the semi finals are almost in sight.

But before we reached those live performances there was one more chance for the remaining hopefuls to audition for Britain’s Got Talent 2015.

Among the final acts were the utterly gorgeous The Beat Brothers clad in glossy two piece suits who wowed auditorium with their tap-dancing feet.

“I’m 50/50, I sort of need to see the top off…” David Walliams said, after the other three judges had thrown their three yeses at the dancing fivesome.

“And it’s a yes from me!” the comedian squealed, as member Joe, tap-dancer by day and topless club promoter by night, stripped of his shirt.

A sullen impressionist took to the stage next and while Andrew Fleming’s initial sour mood didn’t quite wow the judges (or the audience for that matter) his spot-on performance proved to be enough to grant him a pass through to the next stage.

Next to step up to the judges were six siblings armed with a piano, three violins and two cellos, known as The Kanneh-Masons.

The instrumental reincarnation of the Jackson 5 treated the audience to a spectacular classical medley, possibly leaving David a little sheepish about throwing his Golden Buzzer away to The Crumble Song.

And it seemed the best had really been left until last as, from the moment he stepped on stage, the final auditionee had Simon throwing kisses from his seat, cooing: “who’s a good boy?”

Yes, it was another dog act, this time a super-talented Border Collie Matisse and his owner Jules who put Oscar-worthy performances with a short sketch involving a dog catcher and his great escape.

Eventually the time came for the judges to whittle the final 200 acts down to a mere 45 semi-finalists and we watched as the Simon, Amanda, Alesha and David reminisce over all the acts they’d put through.

After some dramatic music, a lot of hand-waving a “what were you thinking?!” the judges had finally reached a deliberation on the performers that’d be joining the five Golden Buzzer acts at the live semi finals…

Among the finalists that sailed through to the next round were Siberian dance and light troupe UDI, Becky O’Brien whose voice sent shivers up our spines and Chloé Louise Crawford who wowed the nation with her mesmerising magic.

Old Men Grooving also flew right into the semi finals along with plate-spinning Peter Lambert and the stomach-churning contortionist Bonetics.
