Noel Gallagher has revealed he will not be voting in next week’s election.

Speaking to Alan Carr as a guest on his TV show Chatty Man, when asked about the elections and if he was into politics, Noel said: “Not this time around. I’m not sure I can get behind any of them at the minute. I dunno.”

“The fact that Cameron didn’t turn up for the debate is a disgrace. I think that Miliband, if he gets in, is just going to fail us.”

Noel also went on to label Labour leader Ed “a f***ing communist”.

When Alan reminded him of his visit to Downing Street with Tony Blair in 1997 and asked if he’d “fallen out of love with him (Blair) now”, he replied: “Not really. Happy days. Happy days for us all. The nineties were great and that first period of New Labour, as they called it, was great.

“They kind of lucked out a bit because when they got in the internet exploded, so the economy exploded. When politicians get in, nothing really changes.

“If no one voted, and I’m not saying that no one should vote, but if nobody voted and you wake up the next day and no one gets voted in, we’re still going to go to work in the morning.

“Life’s not going to end. But I’m not going to vote this time because I missed my postal vote and I’m going to America in the morning. I would have voted for the most ludicrous thing – the Monster Raving Loony Party or something.”

Noel also revealed that he has no stylist, saying: “A stylist? I had a stylist once. She was called mum and when I got to about 11 she got the sack.”

“So no, I don’t have a stylist, and I find people that do have stylists – they’re just squares… Rock stars shouldn’t have stylists. I think it says a lot about you when you have one. You’ve given up. If you can’t dress yourself what are you?”

Noel Gallagher appears as a guest on Alan Carr’s Chatty Man tonight (May 1) at 10pm on Channel 4.
