Former Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan has revealed how motherhood has “completed” her after she felt “lost”.
The actress, who is a mother to daughter Matilda, 13 months, said being a parent has changed her life “massively, but completely for the better”.
She told ITV’s Loose Women: “I’m in my element being a mum.
“Before I was a bit lost and now I have got Matilda she has really completed me.”
She added: “She just made me so much happier. It gives you so much perspective, I’m besotted with her.”
However, she said she and boyfriend Scott Sinclair have delayed having a second baby until Matilda is three.
She told the panel: “It is full on, being a mum. You don’t realise until you do it yourself.”
Helen was just nine when she started playing Rosie Webster on the hit soap and said she would love to return to the cobbles.
She said: “I would love to go back but just for a few episodes. I wouldn’t want to do anything permanent because I would miss Matilda too much but it is good to do something for yourself. It’s nice to have a bit of balance.”
The former I’m A Celebrity contestant said she loved her experience on the soap so much she would not stop her daughter following in her footsteps.
She told the panel: “Whatever she wants to do I would support. I think she will be quite sporty and will take after Scott. She is strangely active.”
She also denied reports she would be entering the Celebrity Big Brother house, saying: “They aren’t true. I couldn’t leave Matilda.”
