AFTER ‘sealing the deal’ with critics and audiences alike during its West End run, Glengarry Glen Ross is coming to Manchester next year.

David Mamet’s play is set in an office of cut-throat Chicago salesmen.

Pitched in a high-stakes competition against each other, four increasingly desperate employees will do anything, legal or otherwise, to sell the most real estate. As time and luck start to run out, the mantra is simple: close the deal and you’ve won a Cadillac, blow the lead and you’re ruined.

Sam Yates’ production will see Waterloo Road’s Mark Benton play Shelley ‘The Machine’ Levene and the Olivier award-winning Nigel Harman, best known for EastEnders, portray the ruthless Ricky Roma with the full casting to revealed nearer the time.

Glengarry Glen Ross won the 1984 Pulitzer Prize and went on to be adapted for a 1992 film starring Al Pacino, Jack Lemmon, Alec Baldwin, Ed Harris and Kevin Spacey.

It is at Manchester Opera House from March 25 to 30, 2019. For tickets visit atgtickets.com/manchester
