THE weekly Egerton 'Youth Zone' will kick off with an official launch party next Friday night.
The event, which will be held at Egerton Football Club, will take place every Friday between 6pm and 9pm and is for boys and girls in school Years 7-9.
Entrance will be £2, with meal deals available from the on-site cafe for just £4.
Organiser Caren Gaskell said: “Lots of us remember the ‘Boys Club’ on a Friday night, which gave us somewhere to socialise with our friends.
“Egerton Youth Club will be just that, for girls and boys, footballers and non-footballers, with loads of different activities going on, as well as a space to chill out.”
To announce the night to the town, a launch party will take place at the club on Friday September 12, at 6.30pm, where parents and children can have their say on what they would like to do in the Youth Zone.
Entrance to the launch night is free, and a BBQ and a visit from Bubble Footie are planned.
