ONE of Knutsford’s favourite family fun days is preparing for this year’s big event and it needs your help.

The annual fun day at St John’s Wood organised by Community Spirit is being held on Saturday, July 26 this year.

A range of activities will take place between 12pm and 4pm but organisers still need support to ensure some family favourites can be on offer for those heading along.

Pat McAndrew, events co-ordinator at Community Spirit, told the Guardian: “We’re looking for sponsors to come on board to help us get the bouncy castles and to put on other activities like the barbecue.

“It is just a great day out and for a lot of people it may be a day out that they may not have had the opportunity to have. Everything is pretty much free and they just have a really good day, especially if the weather is good.”

The following groups are already supporting the day: Great Places, Peaks and Plains, Knutsford Lions, David Briggs, Tatton Estate Management, LIPA, Knutsford Town Council and Ashbrooks.
