Why is the show not held at the weekend?
At £17 admission I find it a bit too much to pay being an OAP.

Before the show started Tony Garnett, chairman of the Cheshire County Show said: “In recent years we have grown to become one of the biggest county shows in the country.

“Whether it’s the chance get up close to a range of different animals, try a range of mouth-watering foods, or just relax and soak up the glorious Cheshire countryside we pride ourselves on having something for everyone come rain or shine.

“I would like to thank all our sponsors, organisers and those taking part in the various shows, demonstrations and events as without them, it would not be possible and I hope everyone who comes along has a great time.”

12:19pm

The show also includes a Countryside experience area, play zone, two Roberts Bakery Food Halls offering local and regional produce along with a Roberts Bakery Live Theatre showcasing the culinary skills of celebrity chefs such as Simon Rimmer, Gary Tiplady and Sean Wilson.

The Creamline Dairies Main Ring will also be offering a jam packed schedule throughout the two days with the Bolddog Ling Motorcycle Team who recently starred on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent, birds of prey, pony club and the grand parade of champions.

The Sainsbury’s Agri-Centre will also be keeping the show’s agricultural heritage alive as members of the county’s farming community demonstrate the methods used to get milk, cheese, meat and other foodstuffs on to supermarket shelves.
