GOLFERS in the Knutsford area are being urged to sign up for a Millington-based charity’s annual golf day.

The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust is to hold its 14th Annual Golf Day on May 22 at The Mere and it is calling for golf fans to join them.

In 2013 CAFT President, Sir Bobby Charlton was joined by Manchester United legend Clayton Blackmore and 23 teams of four and together they raised an impressive £17,000 for the charity.

This year’s golf day will tee off with lunch in the club after which the teams will be treated to an afternoon of golf on the award-winning course.

There will be competitions en route to keep the golfers in good spirits.

A prize-giving dinner will follow, hosted by comedian Stan Boardman, who will entertain the golfers in his inimitable style. There will be a raffle and silent auction, plenty of laughs and prizes for top teams and individuals.

This year the charity are endeavouring to raise more money than ever before by inviting individuals and companies to sponsor a hole for the day for just £100.

In exchange they can have their banner on their hole or be included in the official programme with a full page advert.

A team of 4 will cost £480, which will include lunch, goodie bags and dinner.
