THE Apache Beavers of the 5th Knutsford Scouts Group took a walk with a difference around the town earlier this month.

The 24 Beavers were guided by volunteers from the Knutsford Heritage Centre in an effort to earn their ‘Exploring Activity Badge’.

In a ‘whistle-stop’ tour, the boys managed to fit in many of the town’s landmarks, some of its famous people, and the kinds of detail boys enjoy – prison, punishment, battles, highwaymen, and of course, ‘privies’.
