KNUTSFORD’S 2014 annual town meeting is set to be held on April 29 in the Tatton Room, Curzon.

Organised by the town council, the meeting is a meeting of the town and not the council – but is chaired by the town mayor.

This year, the town council hope to increase the community engagement aspect. The council is appealing for organisations to attend and give a five minute talk or presentation on their achievements in 2013 and plans for 2014.

“We would like as many groups as possible to attend and give a short talk to the town,” said Adam Keppel-Garner, town clerk.

“It is a great opportunity to share your successes and ideas as well as helping raise awareness of what your group does.”

In 2013, seven groups gave a talk including the Friends of the Moor and Town Plan Implementation Committee. Knutsford in Bloom and the Promote Knutsford Forum have booked in to speak at the upcoming meeting.

The town meeting also offers an opportunity for residents to voice concerns, raise queries or offer suggestions to the town council and can help guide the town council over the forthcoming year.

If your community group would like to book a slot to speak, contact the town clerk on townclerk@knutsfordtowncouncil.gov.uk or 01565 653929.
